The hotel is located on the easternmost tip of the town of Bol - the Glavica peninsula, which with the Church of Our Lady of Mercy and the bell tower gives the place a special touch. The Dominican monastery in Bol is, along with the Franciscan monastery in Sumartin, the only one that has managed to survive on the island to this day.

It was founded at the end of the 15th century when the threat of pirates from the town of Omiš passed and is partly responsible for the development of the town of Bol.
